Alex Watson
DIRECTOR
Alex was born and raised in Morgantown, West Virginia. She attended West Virginia University where she earned an undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology with a minor in Physical Training and Performance, as well as a master’s degree in Executive Sport Management. Alex is now currently earning a second master’s degree at Texas A&M University in Kinesiology and Sports Physiology, with a goal of being a Sport Scientist in Major League Baseball. Outside of school and work she can be found at the baseball field, watching sports, exercising, or hanging out with friends and family.
Samhitha Mada
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Samhitha is originally from Dallas, Texas. She is a junior at Texas A&M University majoring in Psychology with minors in Public Health and Neuroscience. Samhitha is deeply involved in undergraduate research, studying epilepsy and neuroinflammation under Dr. Samba Reddy and Dr. Ursula Winzer-Serhan at the College of Medicine. With aspirations of a career as a physician, she is committed to the intersection of advancing healthcare through research, recognizing its critical role in driving innovation, improving patient outcomes, and bridging knowledge gaps. Outside of academics, she can be found furthering her passion for South Asian arts through her organization – TAMU Iktara!
Jessica Lan-Ahn
LOGISTICS COORDINATOR
Jessica is from Houston, TX. She is a senior studying Biomedical Science. In the future, Jessica hopes to attend Texas A&M College of Medicine and become a physician. Outside of school, Jessica works at Texas A&M College of Medicine as a research assistant for Dr. Miranda’s lab and as a standardized patient, attends research conferences, volunteers at St. Joseph’s and Baylor Scott and White, and works various smaller marketing positions in campus organizations and in the community. In her free time, she likes to make clay charm bracelets, read mystery novels, and try out new restaurants/cafes.
Kamal Patel
JUDGES COORDINATOR
Kamal Patel was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She is currently a senior at Texas A&M University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After graduating, she hopes to pursue a masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Outside of school, Kamal enjoys reading books, watching sports, and volunteering at local nonprofits.
Hannah Roe
JUDGES COORDINATOR
Hannah Roe is from Plano, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M in 2023 with a BS in Forensic and Investigative Sciences and minors in Chemistry and Leadership Studies. She is a PhD’s student in Dr. Rusyn’s lab conducting systematic literature searches of regulatory documents and expanding her knowledge of analytical techniques. In her free time, she enjoys reading, crocheting, and mentoring middle and high school students at her church.
Leah Joseph
MARKETING AND MEDIA COORDINATOR
Leah was born in Kuwait, but grew up in Dallas, Texas. She is a first year masters student at the School of Public Health, concentrating in Health Policy and Management. Her career goals include working with the WHO, UN, and other large-scale international organizations. Outside of school she loves trying new things, traveling, playing basketball, and spending time with friends and family.
Alvine Dadjo
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
Alvine is a Ph.D. student in the department of Ecology and Conservation Biology. Passionate about field research and wildlife preservation, she focuses her studies on the socio-ecology of the endangered Nigeria-Cameroon chimpanzee, with a goal of advancing conservation efforts. Originally from Cameroon, where she completed the majority of her education, Alvine is dedicated to sharing her research widely, motivated by her ambition to become a leading female primatologist. Outside academia, she enjoys traveling, connecting with others, and worship, all of which enrich her commitment to science and conservation.
Elif Aygar
TECHNOLOGY COORDINATOR
Elif Aygar is from Houston, TX and is currently a junior in Electronics System Engineering at Texas A&M University. In the future she hopes to work at Texas Instruments (TI) to help design and build circuits for new products. In her free time, Elif likes to crochet, read Stephen King books and try out new coffee shops.
Srija Manapuri

Srija is originally from Dallas, TX. She is an Honors Forensic Science and Political Science Major at Texas A&M University. In the future, Srija hopes to pursue a degree in law and medicine through an MD/JD program. She aspires to be a medical examiner. Besides school, Srija enjoys reading, traveling, and shopping in her free time.
Kyla Brown

Kyla is originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina but has roots in East Texas. She is a first year master student at the Texas A&M School of Public Health. Her concentration is Health Policy & Management and she has a passion for exploring healthcare accessibility. Kyla’s thrilled at the opportunity to serve SRW’s incoming volunteers.
Gary Lazard Jr.

Gary Lazard Jr. was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He attended East Texas A&M University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in communications before attending Southern Methodist University to earn his master’s degree in higher education. Gary enjoys spending his free time in the gym, being with his family, as well as helping students see their full potential in life.
