All students can participate
in SRW 2008!
Present Your Research
Students are encouraged to present their
research. Any student who is the primary author of a research project or
a class paper or project may submit an abstract to be considered for the
oral or poster competition. All students
presenting research will receive a free T-shirt and are eligible to win
first, second, and third place prizes.
Attend SRW Events
Everyone is encouraged to view research
posters and attend oral presentations in Rudder Tower throughout the
week. Everyone is encouraged to learn about research occurring
on campus by attending presentations and learning about campus resources
that provide guidance and support throughout the various stages of all
research projects (i.e., class, project, granted, publications, thesis,
etc.). All students who collect stamps for attending events and
presentations and for visiting Research Resource booths are eligible to win prizes via our
Research Report Card Program.
Volunteer
Students are encouraged to volunteer as an
individual or with a student organization. Individual student volunteers
will receive an SRW T-shirt. Recognized student organizations that volunteer are
eligible to compete for the overall Student Organization Volunteer
Award. Volunteer registration will begin December 15, 2007. To learn
more, visit our Volunteer page.
Judge
Graduate Students are encouraged to
participate as judges. We will need Topic Judges and Layman Judges for
each session. To be a Topic Judge, you need to have at least a Master’s
degree or equivalent in a related field; to be a Layman Judge, a
bachelor degree in your field is required.
