All participants must be registered for classes for Spring 2008 and be in good standing with the University.

Any student who is the primary author of a research project (including independent studies, senior thesis, master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation projects) OR a class paper or project may submit an abstract to be considered for the oral or poster competition.

Abstracts should be written in terms understandable to a person in any discipline (a lay summary, free of jargon).  Abstracts should not contain tables or figures. There is no word limit for the abstract. For abstract writing tips, visit the UWR abstract tips page.

Students MUST attend the entire session (typically 2 hours) they are assigned to present in.

Undergraduate and graduate students may submit research conducted by a group.

If you have any difficulties opening or submitting the registration page, please contact srw@tamu.edu

Absences for this competition are excused by the University if you are competing. Please email srw@tamu.edu in advance to arrange for an excuse letter.

Abstracts submitted directly by e-mail will not be accepted.
